How long will it take? Most of the time we can have your computer back to you within 48 hours.  But if during this process we notice something really needs fixing we will contact you and let you know what it is and give you the option to get it fixed.  Usually the stuff that we needed to contact someone about is something like RAM, hard drive or other hardware related issues.  In this case it can take a bit longer to get your machine back to you.  But we will always keep you in the loop with what is going on.

Is a blue screen bad? Yes it is the computers way of letting you know that you could have a hardware problem or a software problem.  If it is a hardware issue it could cause damage to your computer so it is important to get it checked out.

Why don't you offer a hardware install with the in-home? Installing and configuring hardware takes time and a number of things can come up. We want to make sure your computer is running right when we are done with it so doing it in our shop is the best.
